I'm a married female, a Chicago native who loves her home and husband, Dale... I've been with my husband since the grand old age of 15... we were married when I was 19, and we are still going strong... I've often been asked how we've stayed together for so long. After giving this question some thought, I've realized that there are alot of people who don't understand that relationships grow... Divorce usually happens when the "honeymoon is over". But, what many couples don't see is that when the honeymoon phase has passed they move on to another, more wonderful time in the relationship! You become friends as well as lovers... One of the very real things to remember is that your "other half" is really a "whole" in themselves... A relationship heads for trouble when you fail to respect your partner in private as well as public... never, ever lose sight of your partner's "human-ness"... remember they are a person the same as you!
